The Busy Bee event is almost out the door, and Grow a Garden players are already doing what they always do before a patch: guessing, saving, trading, and checking which GAG Items might matter once the next update lands. Nobody knows the full plan yet, but the chatter has settled around a few clear possibilities, and each one would push players to prepare in a slightly different way.
What players are watching
  • Lunar Event rerun or a refreshed moon-themed update.
  • Prehistoric Event return with Bone Blossom hype coming back.
  • Summer Harvest Event built around seasonal crops, pets, and beach ideas.
  • Pet level changes or a new mutation machine instead of a full event.
Lunar and Prehistoric rumors still have weightThe Lunar Event keeps coming up because players remember it well. It had that limited-time feel people like, and the rewards didn't just sit in storage. They felt useful, rare, and worth showing off. You'll see plenty of players asking for another Blossom-style seed too, maybe something like a Lunar Blossom. The Prehistoric Event has a similar pull, though for a different reason. Bone Blossom is still one of those items people mention whenever old events come up. If the developers want a safe crowd-pleaser, bringing back dinosaurs, fossils, and ancient garden rewards wouldn't be a bad move.
Why summer may be the easier betStill, June gives the Summer Harvest idea a real edge. It just fits the calendar. Players have already thrown around ideas like Vacation Coins, Summer Seed Packs, flamingo pets, beach plots, pool decorations, and fruit crops with heat-based mutations. That sounds simple, but it could work. Grow a Garden doesn't always need a huge dramatic theme. Sometimes a relaxed update, with bright rewards and a few smart systems, keeps people logging in every day. A summer event could also give newer players a cleaner starting point than a rerun packed with older collectibles.
Update options at a glance
Possible updateWhy players careBest way to prepare
Lunar EventRare seeds, returning cosmetics, and strong community demandSave space for limited crops and tradeable rewards
Prehistoric EventBone Blossom interest and nostalgia from older playersHold valuable items and watch market prices closely
Summer HarvestSeasonal pets, decorations, and fresh farming goalsStock up on resources and plan garden layouts early
Progression updateHigher pet levels and possible mutation toolsLevel pets, gather materials, and avoid wasting upgrades
Progression features could arrive firstThere's also a chance the next patch isn't a big themed event at all. Recent developer comments have made people look more closely at pet progression. A higher max pet level would change daily routines fast, especially for players who already have strong pets sitting near the cap. A mutation machine would be even bigger. If it lets players chase specific traits, or improve weak rolls, the whole value of certain crops and pets could shift overnight. That kind of update isn't as flashy as a summer festival, but it can keep the game healthier for longer.
How to get ready without overdoing it
The smartest move right now is to stay flexible. Don't dump everything into one rumor. Keep a mix of seeds, pets, and upgrade materials, then watch for official hints before making big trades. Some players will also choose to buy Grow a Garden Tokens before demand spikes, especially if they're short on time or want a faster start when new content opens. Whether it's Lunar, Prehistoric, Summer Harvest, or a systems patch, the players who prepare calmly usually have the easiest first week.
