In the brutal, extraction-focused world of ARC Raiders, survival isn't just about outgunning the mechanized ARC threat; it’s about what you manage to bring back to the safety of Speranza. Among the various flora scattered across the surface, Agave stands out as a highly valuable, uncommon resource. Whether you are aiming to push through the latest vendor projects, feed Scrappy for bonus loot, or brew clutch consumables mid-match, knowing where to find and how to use this spiky plant is vital.  

This guide breaks down the core economy of Agave farming, analyzes the drop rates and map locations using real community data, and explores how this resource impacts your progression.

The Economy of Agave: Crafting and Upgrades

Agave is far more than decorative desert vegetation. In your inventory, a single piece of Agave leaf weighs 0.2 kg and stacks up to 10 units. If you are short on currency, it carries a base value of 1,000 Raider Coins, though recycling it in the Raider Den is rarely recommended as it only returns a fraction of its value in Assorted Seeds. Instead, you should stockpile it for three primary purposes:  

1. In-Match Survival & "Agave Juice"

Consuming a raw piece of Agave topside grants a minor, passive healing effect—1 HP per second over a 10-second duration. While it won't save you in the middle of a frantic firefight, it is a great way to top off your health bar without burning precious medical supplies.  

However, its true high-tier utility comes when you unlock mid-raid crafting skills. By combining 1x Agave with an Empty Wine Bottle (Trinket), you can instantly craft Agave Juice. This consumable acts like an adrenaline shot, radically boosting your stamina regeneration for 10 seconds. The catch? It immediately inflicts 5 points of damage to your Raider upon consumption. If your health drops below 5 HP and you chug Agave Juice, you will instantly knock yourself out.  

2. Base Progression & Vendor Projects

To unlock better gear and cosmetic items in Speranza, you must contribute gathered materials to community and vendor projects. A prime example is the Avian Alarm Project, a five-stage progression quest focused on building a bird-based early warning system for seismic tremors.  

• Stage 4 (Heightened Alert Birds) explicitly requires you to turn in 8x Agave, alongside 1x Vaporizer Regulator and 5x Sirena Dorata Ship Models. Completing this stage rewards you with the coveted Gel Patches face cosmetic and a rare Riven Tides Hotel Keycard.  
  
  

3. Feeding Scrappy

Following recent Flashpoint updates, players can put Agave directly into the feed queue for Scrappy back at base. After completing a subsequent raid, Scrappy rewards you with an assortment of rare items and random high-tier materials, making passive farming highly profitable.  

Top Agave Locations & Data Analysis

Agave thrives primarily in dry, exposed, or residential zones. When searching for it, look for distinctive, spiky green silhouettes at ground level. It can also be looted from random fruit baskets and wicker crates.

Riven Tides (The Optimal Route)

Riven Tides features excellent spawn density for natural resources. The most reliable loop runs along the dried riverbed area near the main hotel. Agave grows in the open, sun-exposed, dry ground bordering both sides of the riverbed and near the tennis courts. A successful, uncontested sweep here can yield anywhere from 4 to 6 Agave leaves in a single 15-minute run.  

Dam Battlegrounds (The Residential Hotspot)

While the Dam map is largely swampy, the residential complexes are an exception. Head directly to the Pale Apartments and the Ruby Residence. Instead of looking at natural rock formations, check the scattered, non-lootable decorative planters and potted plants outside the buildings. Raiders regularly report pulling 4 to 5 pieces of Agave purely from looting the courtyard vegetation in the Pale Apartments complex.  

Buried City (The High-Risk Desert Loop)

If you are equipped with a high-tier loadout and are ready for heavy PVP encounters, the southern and eastern outer boundaries of the Buried City are filled with desert flora. Running a wide arc along the map's right edge allows you to harvest Agave alongside Prickly Pears, concluding with a relatively safe extraction at Piazza Arbusto.  

Pro-Tip: The Lush Blooms Event

Always monitor global map conditions before deploying. When the Lush Blooms event triggers, plant resource spawns are heavily amplified across all active maps. During this event, additional wicker baskets and small crates appear near trees and buildings, drastically increasing your chances of finding multiple Agaves without needing to look for the specific plant model.
